What is a LuxTrust Mobile application and how does it work?

LuxTrust Mobile is an application used to generate One Time Passwords (OTP) based on contextual data.

The operation data that you enter in your online application are encoded in a coloured mosaic. The mosaic picture is displayed and then scanned using the camera of your LuxTrust Mobile app.
The data contained in the mosaic will be decoded by the LuxTrust Mobile application on your mobile device and displayed for verification.
To authorize generation of the OTP, you have to enter your Passcode(*) or use the biometric protection (if supported by the mobile device).

As  your application is activated with a personal key, the mosaic on the screen can only be decrypted by the LuxTrust Mobile application installed on your smartphone or tablet.

Information:
An Internet or mobile network connection is not required.
The LuxTrust Mobile application can be installed on a 2nd mobile device.

(*) You have chosen your Passcode (consisting of 6 -16 characters) during the activation procedure of your LuxTrust Mobile application.
