All LuxTrust products need to be activated before being used for the first time.

Reactivate your certificate after it has been suspended and you want to continue using it. The new status of your certificate will then be “activated”. Reactivating a certificate is only possible within 30 days after suspension.

To create a new personal password, enter the LuxTrust codes you received via SMS text messaging or letter, and the OTP displayed on your LuxTrust Token.

Your LuxTrust account is blocked?
To immediately unblock your account, enter the initial password you received via SMS text messaging or letter, and the OTP displayed on your LuxTrust Token. Your account has been blocked as a security precaution after 5 failed attempts to log on. It will be unblocked automatically if you wait 12 hours. We recommend that you create a new personal password afterwards by clicking here.

 

Suspend your certificate if you can't find your LuxTrust device or if you would like to make it temporarily unusable. The new status of your certificate will then be “suspended”. Reactivating a certificate is only possible within 30 days after the suspension.

Have your certificate revoked if your LuxTrust device is no longer under your control, has been stolen or if you would like to make it permanently unusable. The new status of your certificate will then be “revoked”. This action is irreversible. If you would like to use a LuxTrust product afterwards, you will have to order a new one.

Certificate has expired / You have no LuxTrust access components
Your certificate has expired and you don’t have any LuxTrust access components. In order to renew your subscription you must appear personally in LuxTrust’s offices (Capellen). To ensure that your renewal goes smoothly we recommend that you contact one of our support agents, either by e-mail or telephone on +352 24 550 550.

Check the data contained on your certificate, the validity, as well as its status (activated or revoked) by authenticating yourself.

You are about to order a Smartcard PRO via video identification.
This is a 4-step process:

  1. Fill in the online form and pay with your credit card or a voucher code. This should take you around 5 minutes.
    Important: memorise the activation code that you will set during the order. You will need it later to activate your LuxTrust identity.

  2. Proceed to your video identification (check if you fulfil the eligibility conditions below). The VideoID process lasts around 15 minutes.
    You will first receive by SMS and email your VideoID code and the instructions. You will have to download LuxTrust Mobile application from App Store or Google Play and start your video identification directly in the app.
    Important: You need to complete your identification session in the next 15 days following your order – after 15 days the video identification request will expire and you’ll no longer be able to initiate an identification session.

  3. Print and send back to LuxTrust by post the order confirmation received by email together with the required documents depending on your profile.
     
  4. Receive your Smartcard and LuxTrust codes by post and activate your Smartcard directly on our website: activate.luxtrust.lu.
